Atlantic Diagnostic Laboratories is proud to offer our new Molecular method of testing for Clostridium difficle. Rapid identification of toxigenic Clostridium difficle in stool samples of patients showing signs of symptoms of C. difficle can be critical to patient care and management.
Molecular C-diff testing is a qualitative, in vitro diagnostic molecular amplification test that detects pathogenicity locus by targeting the tcdA target region which is found in all A+B+ and A-B+ toxinotypes.

Collection Requirements:
Stool Sample, unpreserved or in Cary-Blair-based media
*Samples should be transported and stored at 2-8° C prior to testing
Result TAT:
Same Day if received by 3pm
Next Day if received after 3pm
Non-STAT teste
